WE LOVE
COLABORATING
WITH YOU

“Customers bring their ideas to us, and without those ideas, some of the more unique creations would not have been possible. It is always a two way conversation with our clients and we can advise on the correct way of building the product, but ultimately it’s whats been imagined in your head that inspires the final design.”

THE WORKSHOP

Bespoke: made or fitted to the needs or preferences of a specific cIntroduction:

It all starts here. Maybe you have a space that needs an idea, an idea that needs a space. Take a look through our website and work, if you think we can help, then get in touch to start your bspk journey.

Design
Once we have your ideas on board we can begin the design process together. We use sketches, CAD and 3D renders to help you visualise your project within it’s environment. The design process continues throughout your journey with us, we understand changes may be needed along the way to achieve the perfect finish. It’s part of bspk.

Materials
Our main material is wood, all types of wood. Selecting solid woods with beautiful character, timber that is prime for painting, and composite sheet materials, enables us to create our unique work. Our ethos is ethical and sustainable, sourcing much of our material locally for the pieces we create. We also like to combine materials such as metals, resins and carbon fibre pushing the boundaries of furniture making.

Build
Leave the hard work to us, we take the completed design and start carefully selecting your materials. We often draw projects out to full scale on our benches ensuring we have everything worked out correctly. We begin hand crafting your furniture, using our keen eye for detail every step of the way. This takes time, but the results are always worth it.

Finishes
Paints, oils, waxes or natural, we have the right tools to perfect each technique. When finishing your furniture, we prep, we sand, we coat, we prep and sand some more, every effort has gone into the prep work as this will ensure the final look. We spray an undercoat which will lay the base for a smooth spray painted or brush-applied, hand finish. Our solid wood finishes receive an eco-friendly, stunning oil or wax to enhance it’s natural beauty.

Installation
Here at bspk we aren’t short of a dust sheet or two, not because we are particularly messy but because we like to leave your property exactly how we found it, only slightly enhanced by our furniture. We use dust extracted tools and make sure we set-up efficiently and work methodically keeping the time required in your home to a minimum. Installation is key to the perfect finish and we don’t sign off until we have happy clients.

SEB AND THE TEAM

We take our work seriously but we keep things light within the team. Our working environment helps us to bounce ideas around the place so we can create great work we can all be proud of.

Seb

Creative Director

Drawing from experiences in Design and time served as a Carpenter & Joiner, Seb has sought to merge his passions for design, attention to detail and working with his hands by creating ‘bspk Workshop Ltd’. His joinery workshop, spray shop and design team have grown together, ever evolving to meet the needs of its customers. His Swedish roots mean he has a love for all things wood, painted furniture and beards!

Anna

Design & Marketing

Partner in crime and social media slayer, Anna has been there from the word go jumping in to help wherever she is needed, from designing, to collecting materials, restorations and finishing, Anna has even brought the Sunday roast to the workshop when deadlines have been looming. Always one to stand up in the face of life’s challenges, Anna’s positivity and laughter always brightens up the place.

Ben

Carpenter/Joiner

Our newest member of the team, Ben, can turn his hand to almost anything. His eagerness to get things done and his ability to make a decision when the time comes means that the workflow continues throughout our workshops. His precision on the hand tools and machines is second to none and luckily his love of using big hammers in the workshop is a thing of the past.

Horacio AKA ‘H’

Joiner/Spray Finisher

Absolutely reliable and keen to constantly better himself, winning the award for our most excitable member of the team, ‘H’ loves a YouTube video or two, constantly researching what others are doing and any new tools & techniques to try. He’s an excellent spray finisher, making sure all of our work leaves the shop looking flawless. His Portuguese humour often gets lost in translation but we laugh along anyway.

Sean

Design / 3D Visuals

Heading up our newest department, our CAD & 3D Visuals team. Sean is responsible for bringing our work to life as if by magic before we have even lifted a finger in the workshop. His love of travel means he has been spotted working on his laptop from a train or an airport lounge.

Ziggy

Director of Morale

Where would we be without this little fella. His enthusiasm for anything that moves is infectious if not a little annoying, but his love for all people and his cuddles can’t be beaten. All we need to do now is teach him how to put the kettle on.
